Standardized Test Preparation At StudyShop, we work with students to develop a mastery of both the tested material and the strategies that will help them manage the questions and their time most effectively. We offer preparation in many of the standarized test that a student will encounter, including the SAT, PSAT, ACT and ISEE. We also offer tutoring in preparation of the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE).
	Mathematics At StudyShop, we know that success in Mathematics begins with a solid understanding of the basics - multiplication tables, long division, word problems, etc. From there, we work to create a deeper understanding of the fundementals and how they relate to each other. We offer tutoring in all levels of Math, including: Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra (I & II),Geometry, Trigonometry, Math Analysis and Calculus Science The Sciences can be intimidating. At StudyShop we work to make Science fun. We tutor all level of Science from Earth Science to College Prep, Honors and Advanced Placement Biology, Chemistry and Physics. English Reading comprehension is one of the most important skills a child can learn. Reading opens all other doors to a student, and encourages a healthy curiosity about the world around them. At StudyShop, we work with students to develop their reading proficency. StudyShop also helps students express their own ideas more clearly and effectively through writing. We teach the fundamentals of written expression in creative writing, essays, thesis projects, research papers, even poetry. Study Skills Good organizational skills make school easier, more productive and, ultimately, more fun. At StudyShop, we work with our students to help them develop these skills. We place focus on good study habits, time organization, planning, test strategies, note-taking, and more. We understand that every student is an individual, and work hard to personalize your child's education. We can develop a curriculum and put together lesson plans, even organize field trips to tap into the natural sense of wonder and curiosity within every child.
			Music We also offer music lessons on a variety of musical instruments (piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, drums, violin, and more) for all levels - from the beginner to the extremely advanced musician. We also offer lessons in Music Theory, Music History, Music Appreciation, Ear Training and Improvisation.
